Information and history on reverse side of plaque:
Coral Court, St Louis, MO This building was popular for its streamline design, with its curved walls and glass brick. It existed 54 years before its demise in 1995, despite organized efforts to save it.
Will Rogers Hotel, Claremore, OK, This hotel was dedicated on Feb 7, 1930. It is said to have an eastern atmosphere, western welcome, and southern hospitality.
Arcadia Round Barn, Arcadia, OK, Route 66 passes directly in front of this barn, which was built in 1898 by O.H. Odor. It was restored by the citizens of Arcadia in 1992. It is open to the public.
U Drop Inn, Shamrock, TX, John Nunn sketched the design in the dust for this large-for-its-time building, built in 1930's during the depression. The name of the Inn was a suggestion by an 8 year old local boy in an attempt to win $5 in the naming contest held during the grand opening.
Blue Swallow Motel, Tucumcan, NM, In all its neon splender, it is one of the best surviving examples of classic prewar motor court design. The Blue Swallow Motel was an engagement present given to Lillian Redman in 1958 and she has run it ever since.
Snow Cap, Seligman, AZ, one of northern Arizona's most famous drive-ins, may serve standard food, but the serving is far from the norm! The owner enjoys dishing up a dose of humor and wittiness with every platter. This lighthearted attitude is obvious when reviewing the menus, where on can choose from "hambergers without ham," or the ever popular, "dead chicken with nall the trimmings."
Wigwam Village, Holbrook, AZ, has been a premier tourist attraction for those traveling through the heart of Indian Country. Keeping the nostalgic western exterior, the inside of these wigwam motels maintain a rustic allure, although they are furnished with all the modern conveniences. Visitors can stay at the Wigwam Village today.
Santa Monica Pier, Santa Monica, CA, is as far west as one can go without falling into the ocean! This pier, full of curiosities, is a southern California tradition. Located nearby is the beautifully restored carousel that was used in the 1973 film, "The Sting."
Launching Pad, Wilmington, IL, (only available as part of the boxed set) is a 28 foot tall statue, nicknamed by a local girl "Gemni Giant." He stands next to the Launching Pad drive-in.

Apple Hill Playhouse, Delmont, PA, was a farm barn built about 1833, now used as a theater, it is located 4/10 mile west of modern PA State Route 66 or 200 feet west of historic PA State Route 66. It is a "custom" of Window Ledge Collectibles.
