Based in Rushville, IN, during the late 1800's, the Kennedy family was known as the finest wood craftsmen who ever put hand to a covered bridge. Three generations of Kennedys erected over fifty bridges in Indiana. What made a "Kennedy" bridge identifiable was the unmistakable trim and finish along with the date of erection. This bridge stands today in Lake County, IN.
