Information & history on rear of plaque:
One of three diners released in celebration of the Cat's Meow VillageTM "Sweet Sixteen" Convention. For many of us, an outstanding childhood memory of a family trip was the stop along the way for a good, quick, meal. The American diner has been a part of our history for over a century. Physically, diners are nearly the same in construction, longer than wider, and always, always, with a counter. The seats swiveled for ease of on and off but but don't you remember spinning until you were dizzy or Dad said, "Stop that !"
